efficiency of the msn banner advertising delivery system. or not

This is what i said to msn.
msdogfood@hotmail.com

HelloFirst, I would like to say that the reason I have chosen I have a different problem or question from the pull-down menu is because this question relates to the efficiency of your banner advertising delivery system. For 2 days now, while checking my email account, the banner ad has been slow to load. As a result, while the rest of the in box page waits for the ad to load, the page is either non-functional or semi-functional. The banner ad that appears to cause this type of screen freeze, or slow loading, is an ad for the job web page known as Monster.com or Monster.ca. However, I do not believe that it is only 1 ad that causes this problem. Although other ads show up, they load slowly. Before I continue, I'd like to point out IN BOLD LETTERING, I HAVE ALREADY DONE THE FOLLOWING TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE. i HAVE THE LATEST VERSION OF INTERNET EXPLORER 7. I REGULARLY CLEAN OUT MY CHACHE, COOKIES AND HISTORY TO MAXIMIZE BROWSING PERFORMANCE. The one thing that could be a problem on my end is that I still have a telephone modem connection but that is the only problem at this end that I can see. I have also noticed that it does not matter which version of Windows Live Mail is running, classic or full, the slow ad loading is still present. During peak hours, if you cannot display banner ads efficiently, then allow the rest of the email page to load, the ads can follow and I can get to work. If the company that serves the ads for the page cannot keep up with page view requests, find someone else and do it quickly. I do recommend one company that I do not work for or have any direct connection to, but is able to serve ads at any speed and with great efficiency... Doubleclick. Yes, it is a division of Google but they do a much better job than the company you have chosen. Suck it up an smile! I know it is a competitor but learn to live with it.Thanks

This is what msn sad to me

Thank you for writing to Windows Live Hotmail Technical Support with your feedback about the efficiency of our banner advertising delivery system. My name is Eddie and we appreciate your feedback.

I will personally submit this item to the Windows Live Hotmail Product Development Team as a feature request as I see the usefulness of this capability. We appreciate your interest and will consider your suggestion as we plan for future site improvements. Please continue to send us suggestions, and thank you for helping us to provide the most useful experience possible. I will take the responsibility in making sure that your concern will be given the highest priority.

Moving on, please follow the troubleshooting steps below to resolve your issue. We have verified that these steps were able to address similar concerns of other Hotmail customers. Although these are general troubleshooting steps and results may vary, you might want to try them in order to determine its effectiveness.

A. The connection to the Internet is inactive or something has temporarily interrupted the connection to the Internet.

Usually, your Internet Service Provider (ISP) encounters difficulty connecting to the Hotmail domain if there is a heavy traffic over the Internet. Transmission of data may not be efficient and could cause the page you are trying to view not to completely load. If you perform anything inside your account when the page information is not loaded properly due to slowness of the connection or browser performance, you then encounter the issue you have described. To help resolve this, I suggest that you refresh your browser by pressing the "F5" key on your keyboard.

B. The Microsoft Internet Explorer settings are not configured to allow for access to the website. Please refer to the link below to optimize Internet Explorer

Notes:

. For more support for Windows Internet Explorer 7, visit: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/support/default.mspx
. To determine the version of Internet Explorer that you are using, in Internet Explorer, click "Help," and then click "About Internet Explorer."

C. Anti-spyware software or Internet filtering software is preventing access to the Web site on the computer.

Warning: This workaround may make your computer or your network more vulnerable to attack by malicious users or by malicious software such as viruses. We do not recommend this workaround but are providing this information so that you can implement this workaround at your own discretion. Use this workaround at your own risk.

1. If you use a firewall, pop-up blocking software, or antivirus software, add the following domains to the safe list of the appropriate Internet filtering software:
. hotmail.com
. msn.com
. passport.com
. live.com

2. If you do not know how to add specific sites to the safe list of the appropriate Internet filtering software, contact the manufacturer of the Internet filtering software for instructions.

3. If you use the Windows Firewall with Windows XP SP2, visit the following Web site for more information:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb877979.aspx

You are valuable at Windows Live and we look forward to providing you with consistent and effective service. We appreciate your input and involvement in our Windows Live products.

Recent Issues reported by customers
Hello all,
We have recently had reports of several different issues from users after a minor backend release that we had for Windows Live Hotmail at the beginning of July. Find below the issues that are been reported so far and the solutions/workarounds for them:
Problem:
Unable to view photo attachments in e-mail messages sent from a mobile device/Unable to view attachments received in old emails
Solution:
This is currently a known issue and the product group is working towards a resolution. As a workaround, please hit the forward button in your mailbox and you will be able to view the attachments in the email.
Problem:
Unable to right click on an attachment and ‘save target as’, users get the following error:

Solution:
Please left click the attachment and you will be prompted to either ‘save’ or ‘open’ the attachment.
Problem:
Getting a Gray box when viewing received photo attachments. When customers are forwarding the received photo attachments or copy pasting the attachments into a new email, the attachments/emails show up gray.
Example:

Solution:
Please use an email client to view these attachments.
To download Windows Live mail for free, please visit:
http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview
Problem:
Users are not being able to create a new message using the “E-mail contact” option at the Contacts page. Nothing happens when selecting the “E-mail contact” option.
Solution:
This behavior appears to occur when you are using Internet Explorer version 6 and the classic version of Windows Live Hotmail. While we are looking into this, I suggest that you either upgrade your browser to Internet Explorer version 7 (if you are using Windows XP) or use the Full version of Windows Live Hotmail (if you are using an older version of Windows).
You can download the latest version of Internet Explorer by visiting the link below:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/ie/default.mspx
To switch from the classic version to the full version of Windows Live Hotmail:
In the upper-right corner of the page, click “Options.”
Under “You are using the classic version of Windows Live Hotmail,” click “Try the full version.”
Problem:
Users are not seeing the reply or forward button in their accounts.
Solution:
Our product development team is already aware of this and is currently in the process of investigating this issue. While we are looking into this, I suggest that you optimize your browser settings to ensure that it is not contributing to the issue that you are encountering.
To optimize IE browser settings, please refer to this link below:
http://emailsupport.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!5D6F5A79A79B6708!6203.entry
If you are using any other browser, please refer to your browser’s help documentation.
Problem:
Prompted to upgrade browser when viewing e-mail/navigating account

Solution:
You are being prompted with this message because you are using a browser that is not currently supported by Windows Live Hotmail. Windows Live Hotmail currently supports the browsers below and you may encounter issues or some features may be disabled if you are using a different browser.Mozilla Firefox 2.0Internet Explorer 6 or higher versionTo resolve your issue, we recommend downloading and using either of the browsers mentioned when accessing your Windows Live Hotmail account.
Problem:
Unable to compose a mail when you click an address in a 3rd party website and have set Windows Live Hotmail as your default email client.
Solution:
This is a known issue as of now. As a workaround, we request you to copy the mail address and open a new email window in your Windows Live Hotmail and compose an email.
Others:
If you are encountering any of these issues:
Receiving Java script Error when viewing messages
Getting “Working on your Request” or “Windows Live is not available at this time. Please try again later” or "We weren't able to complete the request"
message when viewing e-mail messages
Please optimize your browser settings by referring to this link below:
http://emailsupport.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!5D6F5A79A79B6708!6203.entry
If you are using any other browser, please refer to your browser’s help documentation.
If none of these workarounds/solutions resolve the problem that you are having, please contact support at http://support.live.com and report your issue.
Thanks,Windows Live Hotmail Team.
