Unfortunately, Ms. Hasselbeck has struck again! In today's (Wed. July 30/08) episode of The View, she lamented that Barak Obama gave a copy of his Wailing Wall prayer to the Israeli press so it could be published in its entirety. For those who don't know, Wailing Wall prayers are usually considered confidential, except if you are a politician. I say this because the press in the U.S. is writing about the fashion sense of the entire Obama family, right down to the shade of lipstick worn by Mrs. Obama. If lipstick colour preferences are news, then you can guarantee that Mr. Obama's prayer would have been leaked anyway. Yes Elizabeth, its called controlling the story.
Moving on from this little rant, one of her other annoying habits is the almost pathological belief that anything Senator John McCain does, regardless of how dimwitted, forgetful or obtuse, is either not acknowledged or seen as a minor mistake. Everybody knows she is a Republican, I get that. If anyone asks her what she thinks of his mistakes or his policies, she will dodge the question or become offended. She is as Republican as one can get so if she truly believes that Republican policies are great and engages in political conversations on a nationally televised program, then she may want to read a few briefing books on Republican policies. Her arguments have no substance, just the talking points from either the Republican party or this year, the John McCain campaign. I think she should quit her job at The View and go work for the Republican party or Fox news could add to its supply of talking heads. Perhaps she should join the Bill O'Reilly show but I don't think I'll be that lucky. I can always hope.
